Fabric Tuesday friends!

We're closing out the month and looks like lots of you have been making the most of the month!! I have been doing lots of little projects (you can see lots on my instagram, @QuiltStoryMeg and Heather @QuiltStory) and have several in que!

However I'm on day 6 of being snowed in!! It's nuts here in VA.  The storm was Friday through Saturday night, but there is snow everywhere and no where for it to go.  Kids have been out of school since Thursday and are scheduled to go back this Thursday but who knows!

Enough about me and snow :)  Here are some great projects from last week:

Avant Garde Apron

I love being asked to be on a blog tour, it's such a kind thing for a designer to let you create with their fabrics, so thank you Nina!

I saw such vibrant and pretty prints in the collection, I knew instantly what I wanted to make.

Avant-Garde by Katarina Roccella for Art Gallery Fabrics.

I absolutely love the rainbow skirt print, it is just so vibrant and pretty!

I had to make my Lucy girl an apron, it's been on my mind forever because she absolutely loves to bake with me.

Can she stay three forever please?!

She was thrilled to get to do it all by herself, with some help on the eggs.

I kept the apron really simple since the fabrics speak for themselves!

A little taste test of course. She approved. Five times.

I want to squish her!  She was sooo proud and sooo excited to share with everyone in the family.  Sweet girl.

I have to say if you've never worked with Art Gallery Fabrics, you need to. I've used MANY of their collections for a variety of projects (quilts, pillows, aprons, dresses...) and the quality is pretty amazing.  And the fabrics are really soft too, awesome to work with.

Check out Katarina's blog for the complete blog tour schedule.

Katarina also has a giveaway via her blog and Instagram so check that out too!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Fabric Tuesday

Another Tuesday around here!  I've been sewing away this January (check out my feed on Instagram @QuiltStoryMeg to see more :).  I'm heading down to my sewing room as soon as I finish sharing some of these pretties to you from last week.

First up this gorgeous stunner!  This is tempting me to try out the Modern Quilting Blocks pattern...

A Sweet Baby Quilt

I, for one, pulled a very late night last night finishing sewing this sweet little thing (and working on a couple other projects).  Turns out my January is a very busy sewing month!

Fat Quarter Shop is showcasing their Top 10 videos of 2015, and I chose to make their Delectable Mountains quilt from that list.

See how many cute ones there are??

I used Arrow Flight from Michael Miller with a couple of Cotton + Steel Basics.  I also used a light aqua crosshatch for the background. I've been going back and forth but I think I like it!

The softer color palette from Arrow Flight matches my little girls room fabulously!  She certainly need more quilts ;)

I will probably add to this and make a throw size, I love it so much!

Check out Fat Quarter Shop's blog to see more quilts made from Delectable Mountains (and quilts from the other Top 10 videos).
